WHY?…

We all create false identities that we live by… Albert Einstein called them ‘the optical delusion of consciousness’.

These identities are NOT who we are but who we believe ourselves to be.

Formed in childhood to ensure we adapt to and are accepted by the world we are born into, these false identities - the ‘good girl’, the ‘helper’, even ‘the black sheep’ - can restrict us longterm from living up to our greatest potential. They come from a collection of beliefs we accumulate, usually between the ages of 0 and 7 years, about who we are, how the world works, and how it responds to us, ultimately forming our sense of self-worth.

These identities and beliefs become the foundation of our subconscious mind: the part of our thinking and functioning that is automatic and controls 97% of all our thoughts, behaviours, habits, choices and actions.

Our subconscious identity is the single greatest decider of our lived experience, creating our outcomes on a moment to moment basis, yet most people are completely unaware of the power it holds.

The good news? We can always rewrite these beliefs and form new identities, but we must first become aware of what it wants and why.

IF WE ARE TO EXPERIENCE PERSONAL SUCCESS

WE MUST BEGIN TO MEET OUR OWN NEEDS

Most women I know are very good at meeting the needs of others - parent’s, children’s, partner’s, pet’s, colleague’s, friend’s - at the detriment of their own… otherwise they’d be ‘difficult’ or ‘selfish’.

People pleasing is common place - the once young girls labelled ‘overly emotional’ for expressing their needs, or celebrated for being ‘good girls’ for not rocking the boat or being ‘helpful’ ….

Many girls claimed their identity around it.

In fact overlooking your own needs usually leads to burnout, blame and resentment. Those unmeetable high standards? That perfectionism?

Overlooking our own needs is hurting us and those we love, while stopping us from living the lives we truly desire.

When our basic needs are not met our energy is tied up in survival, not growth.

If our physiological or emotional needs go chronically unmet the part of our brain responsible for high level functioning literally shuts down. We become focused on fleeing from or fighting the threats we face, releasing hormones that heighten vigilance, fire up muscles and decrease our ability to connect with others, feel love or heal.

When we do not have our innate human need for belonging, love and connection met we become drained of motivation and meaning.

Our self worth becomes impaired, our confidence knocked and we remain trapped in these ‘sympathetic’ nervous system states further preventing us from the relationships we desire and feeling the higher resonance emotions, such as joy.

Our physiology is keeping us stuck!

To be able to connect, feel self esteem, build a sense of accomplishment or reach our fullest potential in terms of love, creativity and success… we must begin to meet our foundational needs - and it begins with us.

When you look around your life, you might not see that you lack what is necessary to feel safe in your life. You have the home, water and food you need, you are not being chased by a lion or being noticeably threatened by anyone or anything you can see. You have friends, a partner or beloved pets, but answer me this:

  • How often do your thoughts become negative about who you are, and what you bring to the world?

  • How often do you feel shame or guilt?

  • How often are you resentful and angry because others are taking you for granted?

  • How often do you hear the opinion of a critical parent or teacher from the past who hurt you… but in your own internal voice?

  • Maybe you have money worries shaking your foundation or

  • You are constantly overgiving and not receiving what you need back?

but here is the thing….

Once we reach adulthood, safety is, primarily, an inside out job!

Yes you learned your identities and survival strategies in childhood, and they did a great job at protecting you and helping you survive back then… but your life, desires and needs have moved on!

It is no longer your parents job to create the confidence, belonging or safety we desire! It is yours!

Today, if you want the kind of safety that allows you to reach for the people, relationships and opportunities that represent your fullest potential, you must rebuild the foundation from the inside out and do it for yourself!

It is your responsibility to soothe that familiar voice within and heal the parts of you who believe you can’t, you won’t or you shouldn’t want to, and that all starts with meeting your need for safety.

Hi, I’m Anastasia Griffith, and I’m here to help you transform your life.

I created international success as an actor, moving from the suburbs of london to Hollywood in my mid twenties. At the peak of my acting career however I found myself deeply unfulfilled. Despite the success, I felt unworthy of the opportunities I’d worked so hard for, constantly comparing myself to others and not feeling “good enough.” I spent years disconnected from the people and purpose I truly craved, trapped in a cycle of shame and loneliness that stopped me from living up to who I really am.

At 36, I made the life-changing decision to face the truth: I had been creating this life from a lack of self worth, and it didn’t have to be this way.

Through deep healing I learned how to meet my own needs, realign with who I truly am and found a sense of peace and belonging that fame and fortune could never offer. My real success came when I embraced my purpose: motherhood, love, and helping others reconnect with their authentic selves.

I continued my training in psychology and other modalities, and created Anastasia Griffith Coaching to support women—especially those at crossroads in their lives—who are ready to heal, realign, and claim a life that reflects who they really are.

My mission is simple: Support women to be free to live the lives they truly want, on purpose…

Because a rising tide lifts all ships!
